Club Activities

What do the kids do at the club?

At KidsZone we aim to provide a varied programme of play and creative activities for all our children, implementing the ‘Playwork Principles’, the ‘UN Convention on the Rights of the Child’, the ‘EYFS’ and the ‘Every Child Matters’ outcomes throughout our policies, procedures, and practice.

The children are involved in the planning and implementation of activities, equipment, outings & menus through their Kids Council, questionnaires and general discussion.

We provide a planned programme including structured and free play choices within our ‘activity zones’:

  • Art & Crafts

  • Cooking

  • Ideas

  • Imagination

  • IT

  • Music

  • Games, Sport & Outdoor play

  • Chill Out - Quiet relaxation, books, storytelling

  • Homework help

  • Visits to parks and other places of interest

Supported by our professional playworkers we aim to help all our children experience and develop:

  • Positive social behaviour and interaction

  • Fun in a safe environment

  • Creativity and imagination

  • Individual skills and interests

  • Physical ability and health

  • Confidence & Self-esteem

  • Opportunities for risk and challenge, including assessing risk and safety in their play

  • Experience of the wider world through exciting trips and outings, and visitors sharing their interests and skills
